📍 Location: Cadini di Misurina & Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Italian Dolomites – two of the most stunning hikes I’ve been lucky to see with my own eyes. They start from the same trailhead!

Hike 1: Cadini di Misurina
- Distance: ~3 km (round trip)
- Elevation gain: ~200m
- Duration: 1–2 hours
- Difficulty: Easy to moderate

Hike 2: Tre Cime di Lavaredo
- Distance: ~10 km (loop)
- Elevation Gain: ~400m
- Duration: 3–4 hours
- Difficulty: Moderate

Tips & must-know info:
🚗 Parking situation – Park at Rifugio Auronzo (€30 toll per car). Get there early to secure a spot, around 7:30am. The road is open seasonally, and dates shift depending on snow and ice conditions - monitor by googling “Rifugio Auronzo toll road”

🌤️ Best time to go – Late June to October for snow-free trails, but we went in late August and still had terrible weather as you can see 😅

🗻Cadini viewpoint directions – Follow trail 117 (~1.5 km one way) for the famous ridge views. PLEASE be considerate if there is a lineup of people, we had a really bad experience here with inconsiderate hikers and almost missed the opportunity to take any photos!

🏔️ Where to rest & eat on the Tre Cime Route – Several rifugios along the way:
- Rifugio Auronzo (trailhead) – Food, drinks, and restrooms.
- Rifugio Lavaredo (2 km in) – Good spot for a break, offers food and basic facilities.
- Rifugio Locatelli (Dreizinnenhütte) – Midway, best for a lunch stop, with insane views of Tre Cime!

🚁 Technically drones are not allowed without special authorization (Dolomites is a UNESCO site). Many people still fly drones as seen on Instagram, but enforcement is inconsistent, and fines can be big.

♻️ Leave No Trace – Please respect the trails and keep them pristine for everyone to enjoy for years to come

Is this place on your bucketlist yet?

📍Cadini di Misurina, Italian Dolomites (pair it with the Tre cime hike)

Hike stats:
- Distance: ~3 km (round trip)
- Elevation Gain: ~200m
- Duration: 1–2 hours
- Difficulty: Easy to moderate

Tips and must-know info:
- Park at the Rifugio Auronzo lot (Tre Cime parking), €30 per car. Arrive early as it fills up fast.
- Best season: Late June – October for snow-free trails. Winter requires mountaineering gear. We went in August and had terrible weather though 😅
- To get to the iconic viewpoint: Follow trail 117 to the famous Cadini di Misurina viewpoint (~1.5 km one way).
- No water or rest stops on the trail. Bring your own supplies. Only a paid squat toilet available outside the hiking vicinities
- Drone restrictions: Dolomites have strict drone rules—check local regulations.
- As always please leave no trace when recreating outdoors

Is it just me or does life feel like a blur right

Is it just me or does life feel like a blur right now? I can’t believe it’s already March next week, and I feel like February’s barely started 🤣

Between heavy workloads, family + friends, church, ultra training, travel, building into community — some days it all feels like a blur. But maybe that’s just how it is when you’re fully present, chasing after the things that matter.

Here are three things that running has taught me lately:
1️⃣ to embrace the motion, the mess, and the moments in between
2️⃣ that movement isn’t chaos - it’s momentum!
3️⃣ we don’t find balance by slowing down, but by leaning in

It may seem like we’re hiking a lot these days with a Guatemala trip coming up next week and a Peru Salkantay Trek group trip just confirmed with the girls (eek!!) but we’re actually training for Squamish 50km, Sinister 7 100 mile relay, and Vancouver Half 🙈 I guess I’ve said it out loud here now so it’s official 😆
